One of our favorite people, Pastor Alf preached on the Nicene Creed today.

A friend of Harry’s said we needed to go into town and visit the big city of Winnipeg. Guess we have definitely tipped over the edge into old age. The chaos was mind-boggling ! Lots of traffic and that meant lots of hunting for parking places and lots of people! Give us the mountains, woodland and prairies (flat lands) . We’ll even choose desert!

Finally found a parking place…under a tunnel. Didn’t know if it was really kosher but other people were doing it so we took our chances and then to be doubly sure paid for a city parking permit.

We thought this was an awesome structure. We didn’t go into it, though! Don’t know if you can actually read it but it is the Museum of Human Rights.
The garden pool with the three fountain spouts celebrates the coins that made up the Widow’s Mites.
Mahatma Gandhi and Harry. Harry said he thought Mr. Gandhi was shorter than him. Guess not! This is a lifesize statue! It is located at The Forks and was gifted to the museum by the government of India.
Saw the craft fair tents and then these crazy costumes and knew we had found…well, I don’t know what we found but it was confusing and crowded., loud and colorful! Cool boke park beside the wildness! Bottom picture.
Our friend, Joe suggested we go to The Forks. An old warehouse made into shops and dining! We had lunch but didn’t hang around long. If you have been to Boston’s Quincy Market a bit similar.
I know this picture of this sculpture seems blurry but look at the building …no blur. The artist used the shape of bicycles over and over and it makes them almost look as if the bikes are moving!
The gray of the sky doesn’t help with the definition!

  1. That bike sculpture was trippy! 🤪Wonder if the sculptor was sober and straight when he/she did it.🤣

    1. Ha! When you are standing there it looks like it is moving. Had no idea how the pictures turned out until I transferred them to the iPad! Crazy, indeed! The artist’s mind doesn’t work like mine, at any rate! ❤️K
