Vagabond Tales- A Bushel of Blessings

August 25-26. Perry Township Park and Campground-Site 2. Perry, Ohio

Long miles, good people, and a truck full of garden treasures!

A very tight squeeze! It’s not the first time we have set up in the home run area of a ball field! No games going on
Finn is happy to sniff around and be close to Lake Erie but has no interest at all in stepping his toes in the water! The dock on the right, directly behind Finn is grated…a dangerous place for animals and small feet.

We stopped in Perry, Ohio because it is the nearest campground to Madison, Ohio, where Harry’s brother, Brian and wife, Ruth live. We had a grand visit in their home. Much reminiscing and catching up! Brian had picked vegetables from his garden and had gotten some local peaches for us! Wow!

The older they get…the more they look alike!

Dinner at Joey’s

When we got ready to go out for dinner, we had the nice, surprise of seeing Meredith, their oldest child and her twin daughters! It was such a delight to see what fine young women they are growing into! Never a dull moment in their family. 😀

The waitress did a balancing act upon a chair to take our photo! Between you and me…It was scary to watch her! An accident waiting to happen. Thankfully, no injuries occurred!
Ohio Sunset after dinner! It was a whopper! Everyone had their phones out to capture it!

Vagabond Tales-Land in Lancaster,PA

August 26,2026. Lancaster, PA Old Mill Stream Campground. Site- 101

This was another very long drive day! Started at 8:30 am and arrived 5:30pm. But…we are here for several days. And the weather was gorgeous!

Not so sure the Dutch Wonderland is on our agenda! 😁
The Old Mill Stream is directly across the road from us!. We are here to celebrate our 55th Anniversary. It’s on the 28th.
Finn taking his lead as far as it goes by the stream!
