Vagabond Tales- Introduce the Gasaway’s to Geocache

May the Fourth of 2022 be with you!

Have you ever Geocached? Maybe you haven’t even heard of it. Dave and Ruth Ann hadn’t. We have done it with our children, grandchildren and several college small group students. When you geocache…you look for an item, typically a container holding a number of trinkets, that has been hidden in a location,. Those coordinates have been posted on the internet where you can find them easily. Today, we did two of them. The park boasts almost 60 of them and they have had geocache tournaments. If you would like to try your hand at it and need help…just contact us. They are hidden all over the world.

I found the first one. You usually take a trinket that has been left and place something you have brought in the box. This one had a list to sign of people who had located it.
This one was in an old glasses case but a really tricky spot.
Dave found this one!
This sign was close to the second geocache.
Hard to believe the rhododendron are beginning to bloom already. Ours at home are light pink…I really like the deep pink or magenta of this one.
Our last night’s sunset!
