Vagabond Tales- Take Two…. Nailed It

July 26-27

Yesterday we camped in a park that had poor cell service…. So today is a two for the price of one day! So if you don’t hear from us daily…never fear, we are simply out of range for blogging.

We utilized some of our delicious peaches for Sunday’s breakfast. Yogurt, peaches, homemade granola and a drizzle of Dave’s honey! Ohio Bound today!
The covered bridge on Hyde Road was good and sturdy.
Right beside the covered bridge was an old flour mill turned into a bed and breakfast.

We set our GPS for Yellow Springs, Ohio. We had a nice, semi cloudy day for driving! Check in was at three but when we arrived early at John Bryan State Park…there was a note saying they were out to lunch on the office door. Rather than wait..Harry had a copy of our preregistration form so we set up first in site 11 and checked in when we were thinking of leaving the park. Only to find out we were, actually slated for site 15. Setting up twice in a day…we don’t recommend it.

Take 2- Nailed It

We spent late afternoon and evening visiting Harry’s sister and family! She served us a wonderful dinner and a chocolate crust peanut butter pie…Yum! thank you, again Faith!

Faith and Harry
Top left to right- Laura, Gabriella, Faith, Charlotte, Seth, and Chuck Skidmore and of course, Harry on the far tight. Bottom- Jason, Faith and Chuck Skidmore. I was sorry not to get Pat and Peter in the bottom shot! Pat left early and Peter was watching their dogs, as we left!

Monday, today, we packed up and headed for Illinois. Good travels day but quite warm! Camping tonight at D & W Lake.

D & W stands for the owner’s grandparents. He said he had been parking campers for well over 60 years. His grandparents owned it, they sold it to his parents, and he bought it from his parents. Keeping it all in the family.,

You see the little blonde kitty, there are 3 or 4 of them guarding the campground. Luckily, Finn already has had his kitty experience…he gives them their space.

Took a walk around the place in the nick of time…It is raining and thundering now!
