January 29-January 30
Skidaway Island State Park (Georgia)Anastasia State Park (Florida)
Sunday morning we attended our home church via video feed. We finished up a wonderful series on prayer. Predictions were weighing heavily on a rainy day, but despite the warnings, we were able to squeak in a new hike called the Sandpiper Nature Trail. I love to take pictures but my guys are not always fans. I tell them both to smile…sometimes I get a smile and sometimes I get the smile but they are not looking at me…

Pioneer camping has always meant a pretty rustic set up to me but along this trail we found these shelters. So…no tent, no problem…just organize your equipment in one of these, pictured below.

As you may recall, we had trouble on our last trip with the steps…Harry kept fixing it but it was just plum tuckered out, so we replaced them with this super sturdy set! A nice addition!

of Saint Augustine- The oldest city in America.
Tomorrow we will begin our exploration.
I think I would still take the camper over the shelter!!
Yes, I would have to agree! This isn’t mosquito season but I imagine the shelters wouldn’t do much to fight those off for you!
I want to hear all about the best places to see in St. Augustine. We will be there in late March! Have fun exploring.
Amy
Amy…just went on a food tour…do you like to do those? It was fabulous and our tour guide also leads Rhodes Scholar tours! Today was fantastic!☀️
I think we’d love a food tour. What was the name of it and how did you register?
I will send you the information! We kind of wish we had done this the first day. Judy was so knowledgeable on all of the restaurants, free exhibits and a plus…she walked us right through Flagler College which was a real treat!
Harry certainly is starting to remind me of Grandpa Jay with that look! He better start smiling. We love St Augustine. So many wonderful things to see and do. And such a sense of history. I remember wishing I had gone to University there. Great pics. M.E.
This has been a great stop! Many cultural and historical things to learn here!
Those are some nice STEPS! They look way better (safer) than the originals.
Looking for the blue skies – maybe you’ll find them in the coming days!
We love our stairs! Super strong! We have had two blue skied days in a row! Pretty awesome!☀️
Everyone looks great.
Like those nice sturdy new stairs.
Love you guys
The stairs have been a super addition. I feel more comfortable with both of us, others and Finn using them!
