Our second full day of our time in Big Bend, started with an inspection of the camper for wind damage. The night before was crazy with 25 mile an hour wind for a solid 5 hours! Even the larger campers were pulling in their slides. No damage was found so we went off exploring the park. We headed out to view the Rio Grande and a bit of rough road driving. We thought we wanted to hike up to a cool waterhole but to get there we needed to drive on a very rocky road. After 40 minutes of driving we turned around because we were not even halfway there and it was pretty rough on the truck and those in it.

mud leaping and stairs made it moderate for us.

Sorry for the premature sending. Don’t know what I pushed but it took me to publishing. Today we drove and we are camping in New Mexico. We are at Brantley Lake Campground. We like the place but boy are we in the desert! Off to Guadalupe Mountain National Park tomorrow..

Looks like y’all are out in the boondocks. Can you find your way home from there?
I think so…but it will be a while!😁
Surprise! My very nice prize arrived this afternoon. A BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK tote bag. Thanks!
You are welcome. This was a case when snail mail worked better than all of out technology! 😊
