Vagabond Tales- Have Dinner Guests

March 24, 2025

Our dear friends, Karol Lynn and Dan moved to Kirksville, Mo to be closer to their daughter, Amber. We were a day’s drive away so we headed a bit north to see them in their new apartment. We even made it there before the maintenance man put up their artwork. Maybe we can see it next trip!

Karol Lynn’s beautiful hand-quilted quilt in the picture on the far left! Dan…why didn’t we do a selfie of the four of us? Crazy!

We piled into Dan and Karol Lynn’ car and headed to the Sue Ross Art Center in Kirksville to see a local quilt show from their quilt guild. I was intrigued with the pottery mosaic on the side of the building. So pretty!

This probably doesn’t do this wall-art work justice but it is at least a good taste. This was a community effort and it was fun to find out Dan and Karol Lynn’s daughter, Amber and Ayiana , their granddaughter and their Girl Scout Troop, participated in the making some of these tiles!
This section was on the front of the building and the other was on the side.
Bottom shot- Harry is mesmerizing Dan and Karol Lynn with his quilting knowledge!😊 It was fun to see what this guild has been working on this year. Many included embroidery in their quilts!
Venezia’s for lunch. Lest you think, only Harry and I ate…not so! We were all so busy eating I didn’t think of pictures until I was fixing my take home box and Dan grabbed his camera and shot this for us. It was a delicious Italian lunch!
We topped our wonderful day off with dinner with the Vagabonds! Finn was so happy to see Dan and Karol Lynn and so were we! ❤️ Love to them as they start a new chapter.
