Vagabond Tales- David

March 22, 2025 Copper Creek Resort and Campground Site 4

This morning we started our day by joining this week’s Bible Study Route 66.

This is our last day here in Branson. This campground has been a delight. Listening to Pileated Woodpeckers by day, a Barred Owl family by night and soft chimes from the clock tower on the campus of The College of the Ozarks ringing lightly through the air on the hour.

We spent a while this morning sitting on the dock watching all of the weekend fishing warriors float or in some cases speed by. The bottom picture is from the dock looking up at our camper (#2 from the right)

We had matinee tickets at the Sight and Sound Theater this afternoon for the show called David. We have taken our grandchildren and my mother before to this very theater. They always have a fantastic show. Since David was a shepherd, they were more than 30 live trained sheep going up and down the aisle near us. It is such an amazing theatrical experience!

Harry dropped me off to park. Took us 15 minutes in line just to be parked! It was a full house today. Harry got these seats 7 months ago!

David

Full disclosure…no photos/ videos are allowed in the theater so these are taken from my souvenir program.

Mel’s Hard Luck Diner for Dinner

Mel’s Hard Luck Diner where the waiters and waitresses sing for your dinner! Kaitlyn, our waitress in the bottom right picture is singing at our table. It is a very loud restaurant…don’t go if you’d like an evening of quiet conversation. Food is fresh and delicious! And Harry remembered when you order a milk shake you get the metal mixing cup full, as well as your fancy milkshake glass.

Our last wheel winner sent in a picture!
