Vagabond Tales- Better Late Than Never

February 22, 2025

Richard and the guys at Oasis RV showed up bright and early at 7:00 this morning. They came for the camper at 8:00. While they tracked down the propane issue, we ran out for breakfast a walk on a ball field with Finn, a bit of sitting, more sitting and then…we got a call from Richard and the camper was ready to go at 11:00 …Hallelujah! Harry went in to check things out but Richard wanted me to come look at his work, as well! We are all fast friends, now. He wants us to call him when we arrive back in Tennessee!

Lake Pleasant, at last! We had planned to do all kinds of things while we were here for three days but we were content to just explore the park today since we must leave tomorrow. Our friend, Russ had a great art gallery for us to visit but guess we will have to check it out another time. We hate to have unfinished business!

Can you see the hill behind the sign dotted with saguaro cactus.🌵. They call this a saguaro forest.
I was thrilled to see these guys all over!
They have approximately 400 that roam this park. In the Sonoran Desert 90% are gray and the others are black, brown, tan and red. Some of them possess the shoulder cross of the ancestral Nubian and Somali wild burros.
I love the furry one-top left and in the top right …the little guy was trying to nurse. Mom wasn’t very interested.
They even blocked traffic!
The marina
This is their 10 lane boat ramp.
A great site…with a great view of Lake Pleasant!
Our view!

Tomorrow -Keepers of the Wild! Can’t wait!

  1. Sorry that you didn’t get to do all that you wanted to, but I’m glad that they got your propane issue fixed!

My GMail is messed up and I had to get on my computer to see your blog…don’t know why.)
