Vagabond Tales- The Bow-Wow Meow Visit

February 21, 2024. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Santa Rosa, Florida

Can I say that Finn was sorely in need of a bath? We have had a tough time keeping the camper floors clean, as we have been welcoming the guy who mops the beach forest floor every time he goes out and does not shake off adequately before coming in. We thought it was about time! He, on the other hand…DID NOT!

I bet you thought Finn couldn’t NOT smile. But as you can see, he is not a happy camper! He likes the finished product but does not like what he has to go through to be clean!
This is a great place to wash your pet…fully enclosed cubical with door, ramp, tub and shampooing supplies, towels and blow drier. We always take our own soap and conditioner but still it is there if you need it!
Had a bath, blow-out, and several blueberry snacks! The smile is back on his face!

Last week the weather was so challenging, Harry, began looking for some indoor activities. He found a play going on ,not 10 minutes from our campground and made reservations for today’s matinee.

The facility was unusual, in that it is located in an upscale shopping district and is upstairs over several of the stores. If you are familiar with a black box theater.. this was it. Loved the vibes of the theater but the play, “Crimes of the Heart” by Beth Henley was neither of our favorites! Reviews said it was a southern Comedy about family…it included a shooting, and several suicide attempts…yes, they were lame attempts but I found it was difficult to find it very humorous. The only thing I really laughed at was the scene where one of the sister’s takes a pair of pantyhose off and puts a new pair on in front of the audience. I’m glad I don’t have viewers while I dress!

Can you tell, Harry is tired of me asking for selfies?

Here’s Today’s Surprise

Thanks to several of our follows I held steady on the sour dough starter! It took almost 5 days but…We have bread!

Only two loaves but
I would call that persistence!
