Vagabond Tales-Chilly Air, Chilly Sand, Chilly Vagabonds

February 15, 2024 Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Santa Rosa, Florida

Today was the day to catch the Tram and enjoy the ocean. Before we headed out, we found some more information on-line as to the unexplored ordinances that had closed the beach yesterday. You can watch some video of it below.

We did notice very few wildlife present on the beach …only two birds the whole time we were walking and no fisherman that we talked to had any luck today. As one fisherman’s wife said to me when I asked if they had caught any…”We’re going home to have pork chops.”

They have nice wide boardwalks over the dunes to the ocean.
We love the uncrowded beach but I am sure, if we came during warmer weather that we wouldn’t have it to ourselves like this. It sure is wonderful!
The two brave feathered friends, with whom we shared the beach!
They didn’t seem too shell-shocked and stuck fairly close.
The dunes and some awesome clouds! Notice…no hotels in the background!

I couldn’t resist a picture of

my man and the sea!

This just looks like a piece of art to me. God is such an artist!
Gifts from the sea!
This is a pond not far from the section of the campground in which we’re staying. Although the sign says alligators…we have never seen one in this park.
