Vagabond Tales-It’s a Savannah Sunday

February 4, 2024 Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, GA

We celebrated this blustery Sunday with worshipping with our home church on- line this morning and headed downtown to have lunch out.

They served delicious and hot coffee at B. Matthew’s.
Kale salad is the dish that keeps on giving! At the most inopportune times you might find another morsel to eat a few hours later. It really was a good salad but perhaps best eaten at home where your toothbrush is handy.

We had tickets for an afternoon matinee at the Savanah Theater for Fiddler on the Roof. It was a delightful show! Pictures below are of our little walk about before the show and before the rain started falling.

We love these squares that are scattered around the town of Savannah! On a nice day, they are a perfect place to people watch or take a picnic.
Harry was on the hunt for a fudge store. We went up and down these crazy steep and uneven steps several times in the quest.
Mission…kind of accomplished…Harry came out with a Savannah praline. He even let share a bite!
This theater reminds us a bit of the Barter in near-by Abingdon, Virginia. Sorry, I didn’t get a shot of the outside entrance. I forgot when we went in and then as we were leaving, we were dodging huge puddles and pouring rain! Our umbrella even blew inside out as we were hurrying across the square to our truck. Overall, it was a great way to spend a blustery day!
