Vagabond Tales- Waldo Hitchhikes South

February 2, 2024 Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, GA

Let’s hope Phil is right on the money with predicting
we will have an early spring!

Today was a longer travel day…about 5 1/2 hours. Here are a couple pictures we shot as we arrived.

It is always nice to see the park’s gate after a long ride!
Savanah Spanish Moss is a ghostly gray-green curtain that covers the oaks that are prolific in Savannah. These mosses do not take any nutrients from the trees themselves but get what they need from the sun and the air
Thought you might like to see our camp site at Skidaway!
Bet you can’t spot Waldo!
Even Finn is tuckered out from traveling today!

  1. I LOVE the moss. We lived in Beaufort, SC for several years and we could sit on our back porch and just stare at the beautiful moss hanging off the trees. Such a great area. Have fun!!! M.E.
