Vagabond Tales- Feel at Home In Yosemite

August 26, 2023 Yosemite National Park- The Ahwahnee

Our first picture is always with the National Park sign of each park…we never saw it coming in. We will be on the lookout for one to stick in elsewhere. We visited the Mariposa Grove very first thing and by the end of the hike we had our ten thousand steps for the day but we were not even started!

This could be a dining table for 6-8. It made for a nice resting spot.
We shared the trail with man and beast alike. We both commented on the fact that we rarely have heard English spoken around us today. Yosemite is truly an international melting pot!
Harry was so happy to be in a park again…he was jumping from rock to rock.!
On the 28th of this month, we will celebrate our 52nd Anniversary!
After an hour and a half of twisty roads…we arrived at Glacier Point!

Can you spot Half Dome?

Brown Bear, Brown Bear! What do you see? I see the Vagabonds ogling me. This guy is really a black bear. We found there are about four colors of black bears in the park.
👀
Glacier Point! We think our hotel can be seen in the valley on the far right.

Sorry for the late blog delivery. We have essentially been staying in a large bowl with tall granite sides the last three days. No WiFi or internet.

  1. Love those national parks and BIG TREES! What a great ‘couple’ tree especially around your Anniversary. Love all the pictures and your smiles. Love and adore your example of a Godly marriage and love for one another all these years and so many more to come. love you! (GREAT PIC of DAD jumping rocks – what a photographer!)
