February 15, 2023 Manatee Springs State Park Chiefland, Florida Site 58
Arrived to find we have no cell service, of course that means no phone and no internet. Yes, there are still places in our country that are not serviced by these luxuries we take for granted. Our plans are to hike tomorrow and see if there are any manatees that have moved into the springs over night. The pool was filled with children’s laughter and splashing tonight so we were unable to discern any of these big sea cows.

So I guess Watauga Lake isn’t the only place “off the grid!” Enjoy your time there and I hope you see some manatees. I think they are fascinating! Amy
