Vagabond Tales-Run into Some Familiar Faces

February 10, 2023. Myakka River State Park Sarasota, Florida Site 42

We found out Chris and Michelle would be flying into the Naples, Florida area at about the same time we would be coming through on our way to Myakka. The Vagabond’s timing was a little off but Chris and Michelle waited and we got to have a lunch together…camper style.

We were all loving the weather!
Finn just knew they were there just for his delight!
This will be our home for a few days! It is one of the most popular state parks in Florida, known for canopy bridges and tours. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ian did a number on their trails and plant life. I’ll be able to show you some of the devastation tomorrow.

Last but not least…your balancing act for the day.

  1. I am catching up on my emails. It looks like you are having a wonderful time. Could you possibly send me yesterday’s email? I erased it by mistake, and that was the most beautiful sunset I have seen. I hope you continue to have a great time. We had pouring rain all day today. Looks like your weather was good. Deb

    1. Debbie, you can see it by typing in Vagabondtales.blog and looking at February 9th’s entry! You are so close to the ocean, Debbie…have you and Kelly ever done a Sunset cruise? If you haven’t, we highly recommend it. Also have you ever been to Manatee Springs?

  2. Looks like wonderful fun with friends and Finn. Sure wish I had the balance of that bird! Have a great time. Love your pics. M.E.

  3. It was great for us to see you guys and Finn! We loved camper style lunch and understand why you like traveling this way and in warmer weather. Love you all.
