February 3, Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, Okeechobee, FL

We set out on our long walk this morning. The Preserve boasts 54,000 acres and we are close to being in the middle of it. It is certainly understandable that we are over an hour from the closest grocery store. We approached one trail and the signs said no pets. Then we saw the sign below and I really didn’t want Finn to walk to close to the edge of the road or trail!

We are planning to take some lawn chairs out to this place that we checked out this morning. They have an astronomy campground. There was only 1 camper out there taking advantage of the camping experience that is free from campfires and bright lights. Even the restrooms sport red lights in the evenings here. This campground has a Dark Sky Designation.

We had a relaxing lunch and then the wind blew in some rain, so the three of us holed up in the camper…Harry worked on trip stuff. I finished a button Bracelet for The River’s craft sales.. can you believe they have made over $25,000 on the sales of these bracelets over the last 4 or 5 years? And Finn worked on his snoring and chewing skills while we waited for the rain to abate! No rain in the forecast for tomorrow!

Finn pic made me laugh. I miss that pup! Happy travels.
Wonderful pics!! Finn is soo handsome!
You both look so relaxed and happy!
So far it has been very relaxing! And warm! That is what we were searching for!❤️
