January 27, 2023 Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah, Georgia
Hoping to find warmer weather, we packed our camper and headed south. It was 30° in Johnson City when we left this morning at 10:30 and arriving here at 6:30 pm, we found it was a chilly 48°. Not warm enough for us but tomorrow the weatherman is predicting upper 50’s.
The big news is Finn decided, if it was going to be warm where we were going and maybe even hot…he wanted to shed a bit of his lovely locks. Off he went to the groomer and he left his coat, almost his full coat on the floor. He has been a bit like Sampson from the Bible and has had to get accustomed to his new do! We have assured him his hair will grow back but he is not quite trusting the people who sent him to the groomer in the first place.
We would be honored to have you join us in our travels! The plan is for the three Vagabonds to eventually make it down to the Florida Keys and back. We will spend a few restful days here in Savannah and gradually make our way down to sunny Florida. Let’s get started!

Amy, We’re taking a little R&R from packing! We have had a pretty concentrated focus on the housing situation and this will be just what the doctor ordered! Glad you will be along!⭕️❌

It was a traumatic grooming! He either jumped off of the table or fell we never got the full scoop but in the process…he punctured clear through his tongue. Had to see the vet to get it to stop bleeding. They were sorry but it did traumatize him and that coupled with losing five inches of hair…well suffice it to say…he didn’t feel himself!
Sounds like he will not be happy if you try this again….
I may have to learn a new trick and become his groomer. When he is even in rooms of 70 degrees he pants and stays on a cooling mat we got him. I think ultimately he will be more comfortable with this length, especially for his Florida introduction.
