Vagabond Tales- Buffalo Whisperer

September 17, 2022. Lewistown, Montana. Mountain Acres. Site 28

We are finding out just how big the state of Montana is! Huge! Today was a drive day. Lewistown is pretty much smack dab in the middle of the state, Population 5,962. Not so small but by our home-standards pretty little!

All we have for you today are a couple pictures of things we passed along the way. The skies were a beautiful blue and the scenery stunning!

This is the track you would travel if you took Amtrak’s Empire Builder, Chicago to Seattle. One of their stops was in West Glacier. They say they take you through our majestic wilderness following the footsteps of the early pioneers. It sure was majestic today!

This next picture I took with my window rolled up and Harry was driving 60 miles and hour. When Harry yelled, “ANTALOPE!” I picked up the camera and shot! Quite the herd!

This time I yelled, “ Stop!” And I hopped out to get a picture of these Buffalo. Sounds like a lot of yelling going on in our truck, but not really!

This was where we stopped.
This is me whispering to the Buffalo to come closer and to smile.
This guy never would come closer. He was slow moving!
This group was much more cooperative!. Don’t really know if they were smiling, though!
The type of place you get gasoline around the middle of Montana. Gas is coming down as we move east. $3.80 a gallon.

Low news day… Here’s a puzzler for you…what does this topiary below look like to you? I’m not sure it was meant to actually be a horticultural masterpiece but this is what I was seeing as I was eating my dinner tonight. And maybe I am a just a little bit tired.😀 (Not a contest but would love to know what you see. ) Kind of like cloud watching.

Hint…a food.
