August 27, 2022. Trinidad California Azalea Glenn RV Park Site 12
In the midst of a Misty morning, we set out to see the Redwood Forest…Another National park to add to our collection. On the way, we noticed some activity down by this river we were crossing that made us turn around and come back!

and getting it tangled around his antlers!
Arriving at the visitor center, early in the morning afforded us a great view of the Pacific. The fog seemed to simply hover over the waves!

We took our whole family to see the Sequoias in the Sequoia National Park. Those trees are the Giant Sequoias and grow only from seed. While we were there it was very hot and dry.
At the Redwood National Park, they have the tallest trees in the world…Coast Redwoods…they can grow by seed or sprout. I really cannot tell you how magical this morning was. There was a marvelous guide we could follow on Harry’s phone and whoever wrote the script was very poetic! I saw God’s hand everywhere today, start to finish!

it is missing so much of the center due to lightning!

I am not sure whether the one on the right is a fern or a moss but the one on the bottom’s name will knock your socks off…it looks a bit like the South’s Spanish Moss but we think it is called Electrified Cat’s tail.
After a great day we decided to eat an early dinner and take Finn to see his first ocean. He loved it but went ballistic, he was so excited about the sand. He is getting more difficult to control when he gets excited.

us the privilege to see all of these wonders!
And We Have a Winner…
In the past we have drawn names, had Rangers or bystanders draw names but we decided to do a roulette wheel in honor our new casino in Bristol, VA and all of the ones we passed in the state of Nevada so…without further ado here is our wheel!
As in the past, to see who will be getting the “fabulous” prize, you will need to watch the video! Congratulations! Your prize will be mailed next week!
Absolutely GORGEOUS pictures!! Love seeing all your beautiful photos!
Thank you! It was a wonderful day! Very memorable!❤️
Awesome photo of Redwoods with sun and fog!
Reminds me of camping at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park with our young family many years ago. That must be close to where you are now.
Yes, it is! We passed it. Today we are just checking a few new places out. Maybe we will drive through! These families around here have their very own redwoods in their back yards?!
CORRECTION. I camped at Prairie Creek Redwoods SP on 9 July 1960 on a trip with my parents when I was 16. It took some research in my archives to figure that out. I still remember the fog .
I will say, Dan…This has been a most memorable stop for us! The redwoods in the fog were something one might expect Bilbo Baggins or Gandalf to live amongst!
Beautiful pictures. And saw a taller doggy than several weeks ago.
Neat spinner wheel for your contest.
Loved the videos. Love you both.
Love you bunches! The wheel is easier than trying to find someone to draw a name!❤️
