Vagabond Tales-Rub-A-Dub-Dub Finn In the Tub

August 26, 2022. Trinidad, California Azalea Glenn RV Park Site12

**. Our first contest closes on Saturday 6 PM Pacific. The Question you must answer is on the August 25 blog. We have seven entries so far! And we’d love to see more!

Today was a Drive day over the Salmon Mountains of the Coast Ranges! We drove through a very smoky Six Rivers National Forest. Actually it was pretty scary! The air quality had to be pitiful. We do know visibility was sketchy at best. We went from 101 degrees in the mountains to a low of 59 degrees when we first saw the Pacific Ocean!

Everything smelled like smoke!

I let you in on the secret that Finn was getting a bath today. He remained clueless until Harry walked him up the bathtub stairs. Harry had found Pet Town /Pet Wash in Redding, California, which we just happened to be going through. I know there are some outfits like that in our town but we never had an occasion to use one. We were in and out in an hour.

He was definitely in need of a bath!
The indignity of having your picture taken while in a shower!
And I thought I was coming in this store to pick out a toy! Rip Off!
I didn’t realize I was so dirty! Thank you after all!

Don’t be shy! Win FABULOUS prizes!

  1. Well you are lucky with Finn. My brother, Jim, took their new doggo (about Finn’s age and size) to Petco for grooming and they asked him not to bring him back again. Take him to a Vet Petcare so he can be sedated. Strange to me. Looks perfectly calm after but who knows??? So glad you are down to 59. Wish we were too. Safe miles! Big hugs. M.E.

    1. Well, we
Hen we took Finn before we left, he refused to have her touch his face and I am questioning how much she took off on his body now. His hair is so long! Fun to brush with pin needles and twigs.

  2. I think you misspoke — you must have crossed the Cascades, not the Rockies.

I hope Finn got to pick a toy after tolerating that bath!

    1. Well, yes…we miss-spoke but you made us get our atlas out. We went across on Highway 299. So we think we went over the Salmon Mountains and they are part of the Coast Ranges. Guess we still have the Cascades to to enjoy later as we go north.😳 I’m changing the blog post. Thank you!
