Vagabond Tales-Badlands…Not So Bad

August 13, Badlands National Park…Interior, South Dakota

A drive day for the three Vagabonds! Temps in the mid 90’s made for some very hot stops and a hot site set up! Our country’s vast differences in scenery never ceases to amaze us!

The grass is crunchy everywhere in this state. We left Tennessee and the grass and trees were a lush and fresh green!
Thought this could be an idea for our local restaurant, The Firehouse Barbecue. We saw probably 10 signs along the way for this outfit along with a different fire engine at each advertisement. Tom Seaton might get a big kick out of advertising like this!
Something caught their attention at this fill-up stop…
It was too hot for selfies. I barely got out for this shot!
Scenery from the window as we were driving into the park.
Site 19. Our yard for a couple days.
Our view out of the front door along with our covered picnic table.
Sunset over Cedar Pass campground.

*. Just some updates…still walking gingerly up and down our steps…Harry’s patch is still holding.

* Our bite are still outrageous! Crazy itchy. We are hoping by tomorrow they will release a bit of their scratch power.

  1. LOVED the FINN and Dinosaur pick – hilariously adorable!

hate to share, but our weather back home is low 60’s at night and decent 80s; keeping windows open. At least for the past few days.
Hope those bites quit being annoying. Love you lots.

    1. We were able to get out and hike some today. I think we are on the mend but it has been slow going. Don’t want to experience that again if we can help it! When we were in Missouri the weather was like that! Finn loved it. It is beastly here so he doesn’t get out much! Poor thing…doesn’t understand! It is tough being a puppy!
