Vagabond Tales- Twirling Hair, Fast Talking, and More Knowledge Than the Encyclopedia Brittanica

2/22/22 It’s Two’s Day

Logan and our tour van. We were her only passengers!

Harry and I boarded Logan’s van in Athens, Georgia for 90 minutes of drinking the history of Athens from a fire hose. I am going to share some pictures of the various architecture in and around the university but honestly, she never stopped driving or talking and every picture I snapped …was in a moving vehicle. So sorry…I can’t remember which house belonged to the first governor or the first black female dentist in Georgia. Suffice it to say, there are various homes displaying many different period styles. So…she talks faster than they do in TN, drives with her emergency blinkers going throughout the ride, and best of all…she twirls her hair while driving. Believe it or not…she is

am·bi·twirl trous

/ˌambētwerl(ə)rəs/

adjective

  1. (of a person) able to use the right and left hands equally to twirl her hair.”few of us are naturally ambitwirltrous”
One hand on the wheel, the other twirling, sharing a fountain of information and…..the hazards blinked the whole time! It was Crazy-Time!
In all seriousness, Logan was very knowledgeable and with a 90 minute tour, I think she was under the gun to share everything she knew with us for we felt like we had been caught in a whirlwind.

As a last resort…We went to the Last Resort for dinner tonight.

Do you want to dine inside or out? A little chilly but it was obviously going to be crowded tonight. We stood in line until they opened at 5:00. So we chose outside!
Eight tiny private greenhouses! So cute! We had our very own!
The food was delicious! And the service was smooth!
Notice the little black box on the table…not a sound speaker but rather, a miniature heater should we get cold. We didn’t need it tonight, nor did we slide the door shut. Pretty novel!

Next stop…Home!

    1. It was funny! She was sweet. I think she would have done better if she could have pared down the information. She might not have been so wound up. But, then again maybe she saw two senior citizens on her passenger list and had a Red Bull before she met us! Who knows!
