Vagabond Tales-Valentine’s Day Came Early

We were surprised with a Valentine’s care package from Chris, Michelle and Kaitlyn! So many yummy homemade cookies and all of the goods to have a super party! We feel loved! Thank you guys!⭕️❌
Morris Lake….another Dune Lake. We hiked here today…thought we would be hiking 1 or 2 hours but we didn’t arrive back to the camper for over 4 hours.

13,279 steps today and I don’t know how many biking miles because to get to the trail heads…we need to bike, park and lock our bikes and then set out.

It started out like most of our hikes and we were tickled with the scenery.
These lichen are growing under many of the shaded areas.
Then we hit the sand. Harry quickly checked his map and we realized we would be hiking in soft sand for the majority of the hike. 2 steps forward and one back!
Once again, no alligators, we don’t know why…it was perfect weather. By this time, I had already shed a layer of clothing! The warmth of the sun was a refreshing change.

but I did get this small basket to a stopping place!
