Vagabond Tales- Riding Against the Wind

January 30, 2022

We started our Sunday with our home church in Johnson City, TN. . Right in the middle of the sermon an alarm went off at the church and the building was evacuated! Crazy!! Had to get in touch with family to see if all was ok. The fire trucks showed up but it seems it was a false alarm.

Headed back to the Black Water Heritage State Trail. The day was beautiful and bright and blustery…a bit nippy at the start. The wind helped us at the beginning going out on the trail but coming back…oh, my…I constantly had to gear down.

This may be a bit inappropriate, so skip it if you are easily offended. I think my bike seat is too small for my derrière. I mean, look at this thing…it could fit a 10 year old’s rump! Today, took its toll on me! I had more wedgies than, I think I have had in a life time! And I don’t mean lettuce wedges with blue cheese crumbles, either! I am on the hunt for just the right sized bike seat. If you have any suggestions…send them along to me!

I am off the bike fixing the problem for the umpteenth time!
Harry’s lot today…waiting for his photographer and problem fixer!
No one was working today but last Friday we
saw them cutting lawn sod on this field and rolling it up!
I don’t know what this plant is but I thought it was beautiful against the sky!
We extended our trip by going a few more miles on the Military trail!
Sometimes the road less traveled can give you more than you bargained for.

  1. Gorgeous pics. I always thought bike seats were too small these days. When we were kids, they were much better!!!!! Those berries are familiar. Have to think about it. If you were in Maine, of course they would be cranberries. There is something else….
