Laurie planned a fun packed day for mother and us. We started off at her house in her lovely garden backyard. We were able to meet Dax, the newest member of Kelly and Erik’s tribe and see how much the other two had grown! Excitement filled the air and the energy was infectious! I even found myself tiptoeing behind little Luna, while she defended me from the bad guys with her sword! We wound behind potting sheds, under bushes and hid behind fences! Great fun!

Then, mid-afternoon, we traveled a few miles to Morton Arboretum to visit and play with Rae’s crew and see the new sculptures going up! What fun! It was a beautiful day and once again…water played a big part in the entertainment! We later drove back and met up with Danny and had a fine pizza dinner at Laurie and Craig’s!

There will soon be five of these concrete, steel and wood sculptures complimenting the fields and forests of the Morton Arboretum. It will take two weeks to assemble the collection. Daniel Popper is the sculptor. I don’t know whether the first picture below or the whole show is called Hallow since I only saw 1 sign. And it seemed temporary.
Daniel Popper… “Let us consider the tree has a spirit and what that spirit has seen.”

Wow! What a full day. Love the pics! M.E.
Yes, wonderfully full!
