When checking over the tag a long before we left…Harry notice some wear on one of the tires but on closer inspection we needed three new ones! It’s always good to check tires before a long trip!

We will be making our way through the bread basket of America all of the way to Nevada and back. Our goal is to see all of the National Parks we have not visited on previous trips in these states. Spring is at its peak now in Tennessee and we will see how far along the other states are throughout the trip. But our first stop is to Franklin, TN to take in a soccer game with our Franklin family! We haven’t see them since December for a present swap at a park midway between their house and ours.

Monday night soccer under the lights!
Sometimes…you just need to read a book , even though soccer is going on.
Cheering from the sidelines!
Here is Coach Ryan ( Son) and our two grandsons. Almost as tall as dad!

We took advantage of our Harvest Host membership and stayed at Jeff and Ann Thoni’s South Forty Farm ( south-40.com) where they do a myriad of things in addition to inviting campers to use their fields or driveway for a night. Ann is in her happy place in her photo studio and around the farm where they have a photo and music video venue. Jeff keeps things running along with the three dogs who follow him around the acreage. Although he does not race presently he and his family have been involved in the racing community for years. His dad even raced at Bristol Motor Speedway, near our home.

Jeff’s parents drove off to get married in this vehicle…a few years ago.
Doesn’t the truck in the upper right look like CARS, the movie…Mater?
Jeff gave a cool tour of his garage!
