Vagabond Tales- Kayaking the Little River

Our trusty vessel that did leak a bit up in the front seat where I sat.
It was a glorious day for kayaking!
We saw NO ONE else on this part of the lake today. We only shared it with the birds and frogs!

What was really nice about this trip was that we started against the current and when we turned to come home we were excited to find we could just simply float. A really fine day, on one of the nicest kayak rivers we have ever been on.

These duck boxes were scattered all up and down the river.
This river had many over-arching branches. We learned on another kayak tour several years ago not to go under them because…insects hang around branches and snakes, too!😳 but look at that blue sky!

We took Onyx on her hike by the lake when we got back. Pictures below are from that hike.

Just love the contrast with the shadows in this picture.
Bat house.
The spillway that made it so nice floating our way home after our kayak trip.

  1. That sounds like my kind of day. Looks like it was beautiful weather. I didn’t comment, but the falcons and owls blew us away. So cool you were able to do that!
