Thank you for your prayers for my injection today! As I arrived at the doctors, the office staff was on the phone postponing appointments for the afternoon and the rest of next week and I don’t how much longer. I saw only three other patients. I had asked Harry to stay in the car as there was no need to expose him if there were any germs about. The injection went off without a hitch and I will have to say…maybe one of the easiest ever. He had a different technique for numbing that was great.
So let me break here and tell you that I had noticed I was not able to read the signs in all of these parks and Harry was our assigned reader, but I had just been to the doctors for an injection 3 days before I left and everything was status quo. So I felt like I was just due for a prescription change on my glasses.

So the long and the short of it is that I have another macular hole…this time in my injection eye and it will have to be fixed surgically. I have been in touch with my doctor at home and will be speaking to his office tomorrow at lunch time. With the Coronavirus they may be having a moratorium on surgeries for a time. I have a little while but it will definitely have to be done sooner rather than later.

A box from home!

So sorry Karen. If anything we can do from Texas, let us know. Bon courage! Mary Ellen and Paul
Thank you, Mary Ellen! I appreciate that! I’ve been through this before with my other eye. I know what it takes …not pleasant but at this point I am just hoping we can get it done to save the eyesight.. ❤️
Can you get it done where you are? (Wherever that may be)?
Right now we are still in New Mexico. Vladimir…the Russian doctor I saw said they would not do it here as they are shutting down most surgeries unless life threatening in Santa Fe. The recoup time is very unpleasant and the camper wouldn’t allow for all the gyrations I ended up having to do last December. Face down …seven days. Not all surgeons make you do that but mine is old school and he has good success with his patients who are rule followers.
Well if you want to come to Houston, we have really good docs that specialize in that and are friends of Paul’s so let us know. You are always welcome here. M.E.
Thank you so much for the generous offer! I will certainly consider it but will see what my doc says this afternoon. Thank you!
Okay. Stay in touch! M.E.
I am so sorry about your eye, Karen. Saying lots of prayers. Love your care package. Love you!
Thanks, Debbie! I had been told often times this happens bi-laterally just didn’t know it would happen so soon!❤️
Love you bunches. Thinking of you often in your travels. Hugs
Laurie and Craig
Thanks, Laurie! Love you! Haven’t told Mom. Will wait until I am having surgery and know more. She has enough to worry about right now. Might throw her over the edge.
