Vagabond Tales- Doing Our Best at Social Distancing

Homolovi State Park- Northern Arizona
We are the camper marked by the heart.

Some have asked how we are doing with the recent craziness with the COVID-19 outbreak. We certainly are still quite a distance from Jonesborough and unless our President calls us home or the National Parks close…we will continue to wend our way back, as planned. In the meantime, we are practicing good hand washing procedures and we generally aren’t very close to other campers. Many campgrounds have been exactly like Homolovi where we will be a few nights and fellow campers are fairly far away. In campgrounds where campers are closer, Onyx looks fearsome enough, we don’t get many neighborly visits; which in some ways is sad but for Coronavirus times, I guess it is good.

When stopping for groceries…cupboards have been bare just like we hear they are at home. We have ten rolls of single ply camping toilet paper left from when we began our trip and we hope that will be enough to get us home since there are no rolls to be found…even in the camping section.

Tomorrow we will be off to visit the Petrified Forest National Park. Much love to you all! Stay safe! We are trying our best.
