Vagabond Tales- Let’s Try This Again

Yesterday we got up and prepared the camper for travel. Things worked like clockwork. The four hour trip was seamless until we got to our campsite at our next stop…Kartchner Caverns State Park. The ranger waved us through and gave us a map. We wound our way through many campers until we found site 52. Someone already had it…looking at our paperwork, it was then we realized our mistake. We had left Leasburg Dam State Park in New Mexico a day early. We weren’t to be in Arizona at site 52 until the next day. Not to worry…a call to a Harvest Host, Sonoita Vineyards, close-by and we had a place for the evening to hang out…it was dry camping like usual and once again we had CO2 issues. We don’t have any of these same problems when we are hooked up to electricity so we have figured out a work around until we can get someone to look at it. After calling two places we realize it will be a tough job tracking it down and no one has had the time to help.

Placed our Arizona state sticker on our map this morning.
Had to open the gate and close it behind us. We parked at the top of this hill beside the building. Lots of wind up there.

Today we set off…drove up to site 52 and it was available. 😅 It’s a great site with abundant cacti. Have to watch our Onyx around those.

We will be here for several days. Don’t know as we will take in the caverns.
The sunset was gorgeous tonight …absolutely, on fire
but I turned around and shot the softer side behind the sunset.

  1. Looks like a beautiful sunset. Tonight Spencer and I fly to Dallas. Tomorrow we will cheer on the Nashville Predators against the Dallas Stars!
