Vagabond Tales- Lost Somewhere in Iowa! Send Help!

I had walked down the road to check turning radius and Harry was having a fight with Siri.

Siri did it again…except this time…she had a partner in crime! Harry put in directions to Brushy Creek State Park instead of Brushy Creek State Park Campground. And so Siri had a little fun with us and she sent us down this dead end road to a boat launch….one way in and one way out.😳

This was near the launch…

This was the road Siri thought we should turn onto… we would have had trouble just getting the truck through this space, let alone the camper.

.

We have past fields and fields of corn and many wind turbines! Passed several of these rotor blades coming down the road on trucks headed to future windmills. They were over 165 feet long and on the road that is amazing to see. Move over! You have to look closely at this picture below to see them in action.

Finally we found the campsite. Pretty new so the trees aren’t very big but the facilities and really nice. We were fortunate to get a full hookup site here.

Harry put our Iowa sticker on our map. This is our last state that we will be adding, if Harry sticks to his plan. We have already added somethings to our calendar and he is still in planning mode so you never know.

I didn’t feel like cooking so Harry took me to the only local restaurant 5 miles away…Stumpy’s Bar and Grill. Wow…the beef was out of this world…Harry says, “After all, Karen. We are in Iowa!”
