This is what Harry woke up to this morning. 😊. We are traveling in the rain today…wending our way for a little side trip to North Dakota. Harry’s cousin moved there within the last few years and we thought to ourselves…we won’t be any closer and the weather wasn’t going to play in our favor for fishing in MN so we closed up the Lodge for the season and we will see Ben tomorrow.
⭐️ Just a reminder to get your answers in for the Minnesota state bird drawing. It closes tonight at midnight with the drawing on Friday the 13th. We have some very good answers already.
Following are just some last pictures on and around The Lodge.
This the Arrowhead boathouse where we spent hours fishing and catching frogs as kids and to be truthful…as adults. Fun to fish right off the pier. The big ones always lurk under the dock and my brother, Rick, in particular would send his worm on the hook down through the slats and when he caught one the girls would try to net the fish from the side. This wasn’t a very successful technique…I don’t know who did it but quite a few years back someone made a hinged door, so you could actually fish Rick’s way and have some chance of actually landing one of those lurkers. I haven’t asked him if he has used the hatch to bring home the dinner.
