Vagabond Tales- Minnesota Contest

If we had all the time in the world, we might have stayed in and played games today. It was cold and drizzly. But being the gung-ho fishermen that we are and because we had promised the next contest…we set out towards the south end of the lake, looking for fish and birds for me to photograph.

Found some…well, not really fish. I brought a bass in that really energized Onyx but other than that…0. Harry says at this time in the year, there are no fish in the lake. Ha…Not true….just our luck, so far. We will try again tomorrow and just maybe it won’t rain.

We were all damp after this fishing trip. If only we had even had a garbage bag to put over us!

So, Here is your chance to win something really spectacular from Grand Rapids…well, maybe not sooooo, spectacular but it will be a souvenir from Grand Rapids,Minnesota. Out of all of the pictures of birds I was able to capture today on film…which one is Minnesota’s state bird?

To allow for some of our other followers to win…If you have won something from Vagabond Tales during this trip you will not be eligible to win this time. Your answers must be in by midnight on the 12th. The drawing will be held on Friday the 13. 😳

  1. I am not eligible for this context because I won the Poison Ivy drawing, so I will simply comment that my prize arrived in today’s mail; it’s a book about Isle Royale by a woman who has lived there for 82 years. I’ll read it as Karol Lynn and I travel to New England for the next 19 days to attend a burial, a birthday celebration, a reunion with great-nephews and great-niece, and a wedding. All that will be documented in our family scrapbook (Volume 54), but will not be posted online.

Just wanted all of you to know that these contests are legit, and that the prizes are better than you might expect. Dan M. Johnson

  2. The answer is B, the loon. Even though I have dealt with the gigantic mosquito in Minnesota, up close and personal. Ouch…. They loved me! Lol
    Great pitures!!!!
Definitely a dreary day to fish, but a beautiful picture.
