Vagabond Tales- Georgia on My Mind

March 28-29…Our last days of the trip, we have spent walking, and walking. Yesterday, we took on another trail in the campground. It was longer than the day before and actually had a name that it seems someone gave some thought to it’s naming. This trail had been control, burned several years ago so you will see in the pictures the woodland is coming back.

Today we drove into Augusta, Georgia and did a historical scavenger hunt. I had given the hunt to Harry last Christmas. You can pick one of many towns in the US and do it anytime within a year using your cell phone to get info. You can find it at-scavengerhunt.com should you be interested. They have cultural hunts, historic, art etc. We did learn a lot about Augusta’s history we knew nothing about. Just a tip….each person gets a job on the hunt. I chose photographer and so it had us finding all kinds of things to photograph that weren’t part of the historical search. An example…foreign currency,🙄 a dog, (Didn’t bring Onyx), a water feature etc. Maybe one of the other jobs might be easier. Below…just some of our stops.

General James Oglethorpe- founder of the Georgia colony.

James Brown’s hometown is Augusta. Good Jeopardy question.
Ok, so we didn’t have our selfie stick with us and a high five is difficult to capture without one.
