Vagabond Tales- What a Difference a State Makes

We have arrived at Mistletoe State Park near Augusta, Georgia. Before we even stepped out of the car, we noticed all of the other campers were wearing their winter attire. Ugh! A rude awakening.

We have a lovely place to camp right on the banks of Clarks Hill Lake.

Right outside our door- Clarks Hill Lake pre- whitecaps.

We had a very interesting evening, one like none we have experienced in our camper before. The wind picked up so much our slide out covers were blowing in the wind so hard and furiously, we feared they might rip so we brought the slide in for the night. This meant we couldn’t sleep in the bed we had slept in for every night of the trip. Harry took the lower bunk and we made the kitchen table up where I slept. Temperature went down to 44* and it has just now gotten to 50* and it is 12:00 noon. The wind is still blowing and the whitecaps are on the lake. Poor Babies! We have certainly been spoiled with our warm weather!

It seems spring is just on the way here. The dogwood are mostly still in buds.
