First thing this morning we biked. We experienced a lot of resistance as the wind was blowing quite a bit. Dodging down to the boat ramps gave us a respite from the wind and we got to watch the pelicans dive for their breakfast. Never could capture one of those on film, I had the wrong camera.
After a quick bite to eat and putting the chicken in the crockpot for our dinner, we headed to North Beach. Harry built his sandcastle and I strolled the beach looking for birds to photograph.

And a few birds I spotted…

Lastly, as we were leaving the beach we saw an osprey nest on a platform. Noticing one of them flying into it we stopped and I got these pictures!

Not something you see every day! So we say goodbye to Fort De Soto tomorrow and head for the Everglades! Mosquitoes have not been a problem anywhere we have been so far….
Karen, these are amazing photos! Sounds like a terrific trip. Can’t wait to see what you do in the Everglades!
I am LOVING the ouctures! Harry is quite a builder of sandcastles! And it stayed together very well. I hope you don’t have mosquitoes in the Everglades! Thanks for sharing your experience! Love you
Pictures, not ouctures! Ha!
