Camping here for 4 days 5 nights.
Surrounded by the Manchester State Forest this is a fairly small park but it is not without its surprises. One of which are the mountain laurels like we have at home, except these are dripping in Spanish moss. We found a small pristine Pond with nice Adirondack chairs by the bank and one thing that I particularly am fond of…heated bathrooms. Although we have a shower in our camper sometimes it is just nice to step into a life sized shower and enjoy. 😃

That is a beautiful place! I know what you mean about the shower…memories of RV-ing with Mama and Daddy and the family! Great MEMORIES!
Maybe one day you will join the RV’ing world again.🙂
We rested on a bench near a statue of Joel Poinsett just opposite the Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, S.C. last March. He must be a very important guy in South Carolina who did much more than discover Poinsettias. Dan & Karol Lynn
They say on the park literature that he was a native South Carolinian, amateur botanist. Ended up being an ambassador to Mexico and you are correct…he championed the poinsettia! Interesting! 🌺
