Vagabond Tales-Pause For a Bit of Domesticity

We have decided to extend our time here by three days. Our next stay was for three days in Kodachrome State Park, a place we had always wanted to see ever since our friend, Jason showed us his photos. Why are you skipping it, you might ask…the weathermen are predicting 70% chance of heavy snows up there. The pictures would be out of this world, however, we are not interested in camping or driving in snow so…Call us chickens! We are going to relax a bit here in Hurricane.

As you can imagine, we are limited to packing clothing in our tag-a-long camper, so laundry becomes an essential thing to do any chance we get! Death Valley had no washer and dryers. The nearest was 45 minutes away! Water is at a premium!

Harry drew the short straw and did laundry at this super clean laundromat while I got a much needed manicure and pedicure.

Due to my limited vision, I struggle doing either of those these days for myself. When we land someplace and I am in need of personal care, be it hair or nails, we Google and read reviews. This morning Polished by Patty stood out to us. I called and she offered a time today 45 minutes from the time I called. I will say, that as we followed GPS to her place of business, we were surprised to find Polished was located in Patty’s home in the middle of a very nice subdivision! She had her space decorated so nicely. Her room and she were very welcoming!

We received a question today about the National Park Passport we collect stamps and dates in, so I will show a picture of mine. They would make great presents for someone, who was just starting out on a journey of visiting them. Every park has a station with an ink pad and date stamp. They also sell the colorful stamps for about two dollars that you can add in the designated space.

We also grocery shopped to fill our larder and refilled those propane tanks that we had issues with earlier! We will worship and play tomorrow!
