Vagabond Tales-  “Fuimos al Mercado Mexicano”.

February 17, 2025

Our host, here in the campground, said we should visit the Mexican Market. We ate dinner at Mi Tierra (My Land) first…it ended up being the portal to visit the market place. And, wow! We enjoyed some of the best Mexican food going! If you visit San Antonio…we highly recommend Mi Tierra Cafe and the Mexican Market right beside it.

You may notice I am carrying a new walking stick. I injured my knee in November. They say I need a new knee and this trip will put their recommendation to the test. We’ll see! I walked two miles on the Riverwalk yesterday with the cane and my knee asked for ice but it was good to go today!

There is never a lack of color with the Mexican culture. Really bright and joyful! They were playing country western music over the sound system! Our waitress is in the middle top! Don’t you love their festive serving dresses?

Harry had to stop at the bakery display! Huge…just like their lines to order. We went on through after dinner to the market. We were good at looking but not buying. We did see some signs that were a bit on the questionable side but some were pretty funny.
Lots of lively color!
Tonight is our last night in site 37. This has been a nice quiet place and they had a very clean dog park! Finn says, “Yay!”

  1. The Mexican Market looks FABULOUS, but HOW DID YOU NOT SPEND ALL YOUR $$$$ AT THAT BAKERY?!?!🧁🍰🥧🍩🍪😁
