Vagabond Tales- It Was a Cloud Watching Sort of Day

September 22, 2022 LaPorte, MN. Harvest Host Behind the Barn at Forest Edge Winery…no other campers but no electricity tonight.

Our site this morning in the broad daylight. Rather crowded but not as crowded as it was last night. The park was hosting some sort of family activity night. This site was the only one that didn’t have cars parked in front of them. Had to forego hooking up to water as there were multiple connections off of our connector with hoses running everywhere. No problem, though…we had a great night’s sleep
The guy in this hay hauling truck was not having a good day!
This was the field in front of the camp site this morning.
Along the road.
I love the straight line movement in this one!
God shares such beautiful skies!
Harry wanted to stop at the World’s largest Buffalo so
Finn could remember this experience later.
Harry and Finn in the bright sun! The sculpture was done by Elmer Peterson. Located in Jamestown North Dakota and erected in 1959.
Forest Edge drive. They are wine makers using no grapes but lots of other kinds of fruit. Some from their own farm.
Crabapples
Apples
Their fields of rhubarb.
We love this little farm. One of their girls!
They were hoping for a large piece of cabbage from me. I was not prepared!
Three cheers for a sunny day and sunflowers!

  1. Harry will remember that we all grew up on a chicken farm and there was an apple orchard just cross the road from or house that hd ONE crabapple tree. We were always told not to eat them but of course we all had to try and that was a mistake…Beautiful pics!

    1. Harry says he remembers eating everything in that orchard. Harry said he was thinking of your grandparents just last night. He was thinking how difficult it must have been for them to sell the farm when he ran for auditor of Carrollton. Harry says…he ate every kind of fruit in that orchard!😀
