The three of us hiked around Button Hook Bay. This pier system was pretty impressive. Located in Lake Pend Oreille. And still the smoke from the fires draws a haze over everything.Finn was not water shy. He walked right in. I think he would have gone in all the way with some encouragement, however, a wet dog in our small camper was not in the cards today. He loves to hike but this dog is a “swifter”. It takes me a good thirty to forty five minutes to brush the sticks, pine needles and leaf debris from his fur. And…those big feet of his collect pine sap and stickers which makes us stop to pull things out along the way. Being a fluffer as Kaitlyn, our granddaughter calls him, has it’s drawbacks! This little swimming area is called Beaver Bay Beach.
Tonight’s dinner was like an episode of chopped…except there was not the packed pantry of lovely additions. I forgot to get the meat out to defrost, had a can of salmon but none of the ingredients for my soufflé I make, nor Panko crumbs for a salmon patty. No lemon, no lime…it was crazy…Guess we need to go shopping. I used a bit of onion powder parsley, an egg, salt, pepper, and of all things oatmeal. Thankfully Harry didn’t Chop me …but then he is like Mikey. He eats everything.!
Harry has what I am calling his “pine cone” birthday tomorrow. If you get a chance…send him some birthday salutations!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY!!🎂🎉🎊 Hope you are having a MARVELOUS day!!❤️
