Vagabond Tales! 51 Years Adventuring

August 28, 2022 Trinidad, Californian Glen RV Park. Site 12

We spent a leisurely day here at the campground. On Sundays and when we have been traveling we listened to pastor, Erwin McManus, Pastor of Mosaic in Los Angeles. We have listened to his series “Uprising from the Archives”. Today’s was “A Manifesto of Human Creativity”. We enjoyed hearing a bit of his growing up years on this podcast and having been an elementary school teacher in the early grades, I can attest to the fact many children feel this way when they step their little toe on the threshold on their first day of school. I always felt it was my job to show them that they were creative and instill in them a love of learning. It was a privilege to be what I know God called me to be.

Our welcome for dinner! All food locally grown or caught.
Fresh caught salmon for Harry and chicken in Phyllo pastry for me. I was originally going to order salmon, as well but our waitress, Lindsay, encouraged me to order the chicken dish. She shared that the recipe was 38 years old when Dixie, the owner opened the restaurant… It was one of the specialties and still is today! It was a good choice!
You may see this idea sometime at our home. Each table was draped in an oriental rig with glass placed over it! It made for a pretty table with the black tablecloths!
Our complimentary chocolate crusted,goat-cheese
cheesecake with raspberry purée. Nothing was left!❤️
Driving home we stopped at Seal Rock again and I recorded what I was hearing. Please turn your sound up as you can see how far we are from them!

One last look at Azalea Glen and our campground. Headed to Crater Lake tomorrow.

Site 12…a snug fit.
Several campsites backed up to this…not ours.😪
Finn and I are way out there heading to the dog park.
The flowers in this area and specifically Azalea Glen are pretty. The purple is from a bush I had never seen before, on the bottom all three of these were growing like crazy at our site…sweet peas, fuchsia, and nasturtium.
In the mallow family but I do not know the name of this one.
Our climbing rose and the car…very close next door. They are a young couple, whose breaks went out getting here. The wife said it was like riding a roller coaster! I bet! They had a roadside mechanic here most of the day. Before we leave tomorrow we will check in on them. We head out to Crater Lake tomorrow.
