Vagabond Tales- Finn Runs the Bases in Casper, Wyoming

It is always a challenge to find a place for Finn to run free…just when we thought it would not happen…we spied an open gate on the ball field. Great fun! He runs at break-neck speed. We think he pulled something because he was favoring his left front leg when he called it quits. Nothing was in his paw so we shall see tomorrow if he is any better.
And then there were four!

You have to love camping…you never know who you will meet. Tonight as we were parking our camper in the parking lot of our hosts, we noticed a single gal, Denise getting her site set up. She was impressive! No small rig but she zipped right in and got everything organized. After she had dinner, she noticed us sitting out at the side of our camper eating dinner. She met Finn and he was his boyish self trying to win her heart.

Denise left for her camper and came out in a few minutes with her pet…Lucky. They are traveling the US together!

Meet Denise and her pet rat, Lucky. The tale goes…she bought Lucky to feed to her pet snake. She put Lucky into the snake habitat on two different occasions and the snake would only come up and sniff. So Denise decided the rat was Lucky…thus the name! Her camper’s name…Lady and Lucky.
A very inquisitive little girl…yes, Lucky is female!
Denise and Lucky even played a game of tug with string man and Finn.

There are many fun things about traveling and one is definitely the people you meet along the way. God willing…we will be in the Grand Teton National park this time tomorrow!

PS…Thanks to all of you who have sent Chigger remedy suggestions our way! Many sound like something we need to have in our first-aid kit. With every day we are a bit less itchy and scratchy…We look forward to the day when chiggers are just a memory in our past!
