Vagabond Tales- Quiet Day at Camp

March 28-29, 2022 Don Carter State Park

Harry and I struck out on a hiking trail in the morning!
Great weather! Love that sunshine!
Our son, Chris is contemplating building a dock at their lake, so I thought I would post this one. Probably a bit too expensive…it didn’t even rock when we walked on it!
Love the color of the bright new maple whirligig
seeds against the muddy lake.
We found this super cool play set towards the end of our hike! We just had to try it out! I know some kids and possibly a few adults, who would love this, don’t you?
Almost like a zip line. Ha!
We spent the afternoon playing corn hole and washer toss with the Buchleiter’s. I am afraid I was the only cameraman and I must have been sleeping on the job…so we are slim pickings on the photos. The guys beat the girls in corn hole both games!

Traveled to James Island County Park in Charleston, South Carolina March 29, 2022

We hiked the Green trail( I never have gotten over parks who use such original trail names.) and it gave us great views of the wetlands.
We had seen the is idea with the StoryWalk in The Nashville area with our grandchildren once before. This one was well done and it was a very cute story! I would love to see this at one of our parks! Willow Springs.

Hopefully…the gardens tomorrow!
