Vagabond Tales- Sand Castle Building in Polar Bear Temps. ***Contest Info***

February 11, 2022

Well, I am the crazy one who was watching the construction today. No sun, 15 mile an hour wind, and rain squalls off the horizon. And did I mention, I wore capris and a short sleeved blouse for the first time on this trip? What was I thinking? Now you may ask what did Harry wear? He pretty much was my Fashion model today. I just followed his lead! He says the cold didn’t bother him but then he was the active one.
And so it begins…The long haul of water to the site.
Mind you, he chose this place to set up shop!
We did have some sun as the castle foundation
was erected. But it was short lived.
I think, had I not been so cold we might be looking at a much larger castle! It was a perfect time to try out some new techniques and tools Mark had given him.
These people came prepared for the cold…they set up behind us to watch Harry build but they only lasted fifteen minutes and …THEY had a tent!

We arrived at TopSail on the 5 of February, if you need some help with answers. In several posts, we mentioned the term Dune Lakes. There are four in the park..we have mentioned three of them. If you can share those three names with us by the end of the day on February 13…you will be entered in a drawing for a prize from our travels. You may text, or email us with the answers. You also may respond here on this site but then…everyone will see your answers. Any way you chose to answer will be fine!

  1. You’re both crazy! Harry looks like some movie star but I can’t quite figure it right now… For heaven’s sake, go inside!!!
