Vagabond Tales-Hike to the Gulf and a Lake with No Name

February 6, 2022

Sunday church on line! This is love month at First Christian Church.
We are encouraged to find opportunities to serve Johnson City and our neighbors.

After church, we struck out to explore the campground. We ended up hiking three and a half miles, all the while taking note of places and things we wanted to experience. Our first stop was the gulf!

The water was like a jewel today! In the bottom picture, Harry is checking the sand for pack ability. He can’t wait to start his sand castle shaping!
A bit chilly but oh what a gorgeous beach!
We sure didn’t have to fight the crowds today.
Y’all come! There is plenty of beach to share.

The Lake…No Name

Just a short spur off of the walk to the beach, is the beautiful little lake with No Name..our first Dune lake ever.

Beware of the alligators…we saw no signs of trouble!
I am all layered us! In the 60’s but also a breeze.
One of the fun things about camp grounds is you never know what kind of entertainment you are going to find! These guys were great!!🎶

  1. Wonderful photos! You guys look so happy. I guess you listened to the sermon. Love yourself too! Gorgeous waters! Stay warm. M.E.

    1. Thanks,M.E. We are going to try out the coffee shop this morning. It is a first mor us. Campgrounds with camp stores, yes but cam grounds with coffee shops, now that is cool!❤️

  2. Those are beautiful pictures. The sky and the water is breath taking, even through pictures. I love the beach! We love you guys too, looks like this may be a fun spot for the time you are there. love and hugs

    1. Love you guys, too!❤️. Forgot to ask how your lesson went. May be two weeks ago now! Know it probably went great! Calling for rain today. That came out of the blue , as the prediction yesterday was sun? You have to take the rain with the sun! ⭕️❌

  3. Love the pictures!! The beach is soooo beautiful. The picture of you and Harry is FABULOUS–one of my faves!! I wish I could be there to explore this beautiful area and see the beach! Love you Happy Campers!!
